My binder operates on the same principles as the garrison style binder.  An endless loop of "driving" cord squeezes the bamboo strips together while a cotton binding cord is fed through a series of tensioning devices from above.  The support arms are adjustable so that you can determine the pitch of the binding cord.

This machine is constructed of stainless steel, brass and nylon so that you can wash the resorcinol glue off after use.

The binder does not include the gel spun spool as shown.
